About Us
Youth Ambassadors

IAAB’s Youth Ambassador Program offers young leaders an opportunity to be active in their local Iranian American community. As representatives of IAAB in their respective communities, the Youth Ambassadors play a key role in being the face of IAAB on a local level.

This is a great opportunity for any high school or college student to become a point person in her/his local community. Youth Ambassadors receive leadership training from IAAB staff and work with their local Iranian community to organize events. Furthermore, all Youth Ambassadors are encouraged to create programming in their community and will receive project management training from IAAB as well as project-specific stipends.
Requirements for becoming a Youth Ambassador include:
- Attending one or more of IAABs youth programs
- Showing Interest in IAAB and helping IAAB carry out its mission on a local level
- Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
All Ambassadors gain valuable leadership experience through:
- Organizing IAAB information sessions, fundraisers, and events in their region
- Collaborating and receiving mentorship with IAAB staff
- Developing specialty programs to meet the needs of local community as well as represent IAAB

Currently, IAAB's Youth Ambassadors represent the following states:
- California (Bay Area; Santa Barbara; Davis; Los Angeles)
- Washington, DC metro-area
