IAAB seeks motivated, enthusiastic, and ambitious high school students to attend Camp Ayandeh, its second annual Iranian-American Leadership Camp, to be held the week of July 1-7, 2007 at the Hemlock Overlook Center for Outdoor Education in Clifton, Virginia. Rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as graduating seniors are encouraged to apply.

 

The cost of the camp is $575 for the entire 7 days and 6 nights, which includes room, board, and transportation between the camp and airports/other transportation hubs. We are happy to offer a Norooz eidi to our campers: those who register before March 20, 2007, will receive a $50 discount on their camp fees!

 

In addition, IAAB is pleased to offer a limited number of need-based scholarships for the camp through the generous donations of the 2007 Mamad Ali Feiz Scholarship program.

 

All submissions for the camp must include the completed application form as well as a $20 per household application fee in order to be considered for admission. Application fees must be made by check, payable to Iranian Alliances Across Borders, and should be mailed along with your application materials to the following address:

Please note: Applications that are sent via email will only be considered when the application fee has been received by mail, and are postmarked by April 16, 2007!

 

IAAB seeks exemplary, open-minded, and enthusiastic college and graduate school students to serve as counselors at Camp Ayandeh . Camp Ayandeh counselors serve as volunteers for the duration of the camp and are also expected to be present for counselor training from June 28th - 30th, and for a counselor debrief on July 8th . Counselors are only responsible for transportation to and from Washington, D.C.; IAAB covers room and board from June 28th – July 8th.

 

There is no application fee for counselors. All counselor applications must be electronically submitted by April 8, 2007 to leadershipcamp [at] iranianalliances.org.
