Help Build Our Community in 2012

With the help of loyal supports like you, 2011 was an amazing year for IAAB and the Iranian diaspora community.  Among the top items that we accomplished together were:

• Creating the first national network of Iranian student organizations representing nearly 40 schools and universities
• Implementing a successful Camp Ayandeh with over 40 communities and 14 states from every region in the US represented
• Awarding a record number of scholarships so that high school and college students could convene to discuss the future of the Iranian diaspora community
• Developing an educational philosophy impacting all of our programs dedicated to empowering students each year to build their respective communities and capacity as leaders
• Building an annual leadership conference for university students
• Initiating a fellowship program that fosters local community engagement and development

But we need your help to continue to make a difference in 2012, to build community for our youth both across the country and internationally, as well as to implement programs for segments of our community that are otherwise ignored.

With your support in 2011, 2012 will bring:

• B| taa'rof, the first magazine that promises to bring together oral history, essay writing and visual arts in order to build a creative bridge across years of undocumented memories and experiences
• Camp Javan, an Iranian American middle school leadership day camp
• New programs focusing on education in diaspora and language acquisition
• An increase in Leadership in Action Fellows and ICAN academic institutions
