  • 8:00am-9:00am: Breakfast
  • 9:00am-10:00am: Drive to Wellesley College
  • 10:00am-10:30am: Introductions - IAAB and the Student Summit Team
  • Topic 1: Getting to Know Other Iranian-American Student Groups Around the Country
    • 10:30am-11:00am: Introductions of student groups
    • 11:00am-11:30am: Orientation activities
  • Topic 2: Running an Effective Student Group
    • 11:30am-11:45am: Challenges faced by student organizations
    • 11:45am-12:15am: Talk by Niloo Nouri- Running an Iranian student organization
    • 12:15am-1:00pm: Group discussions on challenges that student groups face and strategies that have been employed to effectively meet these challenges
  • 1:00pm-2:00pm: Lunch
  • Topic 3: Iranian Student Organizations and the Greater Iranian Community
    • 2:15pm-3:15pm: Talk by Banafsheh Akhlaghi and Mahdis Keshavarz - Needs of the Iranian community not currently being addressed and areas in which Iranian student organizations can play a more active role
    • 3:15pm-3:45pm: Breakout groups-discussions on how Iranian student organizations can realistically provide additional support to the greater Iranian community
  • 3:45pm-4:00pm: Break with refreshments
  • Topic 4: The Role of Iranian Student Organizations on College Campuses
    • 4:00pm-4:45pm: PAAIA presentation by Niaz Kasravi- Increasing knowledge about Iran and Iranian culture within the American community and on college campuses
    • 4:45pm-5:30pm: Group discussion on increasing knowledge about Iran and Iranian culture within the American community and on college campuses
  • 6:00pm: Leave for dinner in Boston

  • 8:30am-9:30: Breakfast
  • 9:30am-10:00am: Drive to Wellesley College
  • Topic 5: Increasing Cooperation and Communication Between Organizations
    • 10:00am-10:30am: Meet in regional groups for discussion of initiatives that can be started in specific regions
      10:30am-10:45am: Compilation of results from regional group discussions
    • 10:45am-11:00am: Discussion of efforts that can be initiated nationwide
    • 11:00am- 12:00pm: IAAB’s role in supporting student organizations and increasing cooperation and communication between organizations
  • 12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch
  • 1:00pm-1:30pm: Reflection activity
  • 1:30pm-2:00pm: Closing ceremony
