Help Build Our Community in 2012 and 2013

In 2003, IAAB started a movement. A casual conversation between two college students grew into an organization that has impacted thousands of Iranians across the world.

In just nine years, with the support of the largest grassroots network within the Iranian diaspora community, IAAB has:
- Created Camp Ayandeh, the first national Iranian American high school leadership camp;
- Held four International Conferences on the Iranian Diaspora, an innovative forum for academics, artists, journalists, and community leaders to discuss current needs of our global community;
- Organized the Student Summit, a leadership summit for university students leaders;
- Developed IAAB's Campus Action Network, a network of nearly 40 academic institutions;
- Curated "Transform/Nation," a collection of Iranian and Iranian diaspora art held simultaneously in Tehran and Washington, D.C.;
- Created Project Connection, an online resource center for internships in Iran;
- Conducted Essay Contests, inspiring reflective pieces from Iranian diaspora youth worldwide;
- Organized Bam and Beyond Seminars in New York and Tehran that brought together nearly 40 diaspora and international organizations to discuss and outline NGO responses to natural disater relief efforts in Iran;
- Created the Leadership in Action Fellowship, a fellowship that empowers leaders who serve local communities such as Toronto's Iranian population.
With your support in 2011 and 2012, this year will bring:
- The continued expansion of Camp Ayandeh, Camp Javan, IAAB's Summer Leadership Institute, and the IAAB International Conference on the Iranian Diaspora;
- An increase in Leadership in Action Fellows and ICAN academic institutions;
- New programs focusing on education in diaspora and language acquisition.
